In a recent statement Binyamin Netanyahu said this, .”

“The attacks of radical Islam know no boundaries— these are international attacks and the response has to be international. The terrorists want to destroy our freedoms and our civilization. … If we stand together and if we are not divided, then we can defeat this tyranny that seeks to extinguish all our freedoms,”.
The attack on Charlie Hebdo was an attack on the freedom of cartoonists (& by implication, journalists) to criticize. Netanyahu is a prime minister with no clothes. What does he think his state’s 2011 law for the prevention of harm is other than an attempt to restrict freedom to criticize Israel?  This is rank hypocrisy from one who sanctioned the murder of journalists in Gaza.
Our police, rightly, spend time examining the what & the how of terrorism & extremism. Our politicians should spend more time on “why”? Nothing justifies the recent events in Paris, but refusing to understand why some people want to behave this way simply postpones the possibility of peace
